The good practices recommended by OpenEdition are as follows:
Metadata

✪ | Title: Author, Title (formatting allowed: small capitals, subscript/superscript) |
Subtitle: simplified title: place of publication, publisher, year of publication. | |
✪ | Author: (of the review): in lower case with a capital on the first letter. |
Author description: the same as for “Author”. | |
✪ | Language |
♥ | Title of the work being commented upon: in roman type, without a full stop at the end. |
✪ | Author of the work being commented upon: Forename Surname, lower case with a capital on the first letter, delete any reference such as (dir.), (ed.), etc. |
✪ | Bibliographic entry of the work being commented upon: author, Title, complete reference as provided by the journal (small capitals and subscript/superscript permitted). |
♥ | Date of the work being commented upon: Year (4 digits, e.g. 1988) |
Page range: The same as the article’s page range, if printed. | |
Date of the print publication: 01 January 2012 or 01/01/2012 (if printed) | |
✪ | Date of (digital) publication: 01 January 2012 or 01/01/2012 |
